ARCHIMEDES FOUNDER
Dr. Harold C. Smith, a seasoned leader in RNA biology with over 30 years of experience in biomedical research, brings deep scientific expertise and a track record of translating discoveries into real-world applications as a founder of the Archimedes Center. Drawing on his extensive background in molecular biology, immunology, and antiviral research, including significant contributions to HIV/AIDS science, he helps guide the nonprofit’s mission to accelerate innovation by providing entrepreneurs and researchers access to a fully equipped commercial lab. Through this work, he supports the development of new diagnostics, therapeutics, and technologies, bridging the gap between early-stage discovery and clinical or commercial impact.
